The baseball team showed improvement from their tough loss the night before, but came up short in another heartbreaking, walk-off comeback by New Berlin in a 5 to 4 loss last night. Caiden Bietsch had his 3rd consecutive strong start on the mound going 4 and a third innings while allowing only one earned run and striking out 8. Jacob Scheffler provided a solid relief effort, but the ball just didn’t bounce his way. Brody Scheffler led the offense with 2 hits including an RBI double. Big shout-out to our Athletic Secretary Mrs. Callahan, as her sophomore son Michael reached base 3 times with 2 hits for the Pretzels. Next up for the Solons is a 10 am game on Saturday against the Trojans of Auburn at Robin Roberts Stadium.
The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team played Quincy Notre Dame and won 6-3. In singles, Jai Khurana, Bennett Nelson, Faaiz Qureshi, Charlie Watson and Mox Amin won. While in doubles, the team of Jai Khurana/Bennett Nelson emerged victorious.

Good job by everyone who played!
