District 186 is excited to offer begin an after school Beginning Band Program for 5th grade students. Interested families will need to attend an information meeting for an opportunity to sign up and sign student/ parent contract.

Tonight's the night! Our Family Math Night will take place from 5:30-6:30 at Addams! The book fair will also be open during this time! Hope to see you all there!
We want to remind you that we are fast approaching the deadline for students to have their physical and immunization information turned in per state guidelines.
Please make sure that you have contacted your school’s nurse with your child’s upcoming physical/immunization appointment or that you have turned in your physical and immunization paperwork this week.
Students failing to provide required health information will be excluded from school starting October 1st.
The book fair will be open for students and families to purchase books from 9:00am-11:00am on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. It will also be open during our family math night on Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
Join us Thursday (9/28) from 5:30-6:30 for a family math night! Play games, win prizes, visit the book fair, and get some popcorn and lemonade!
Reminder... There will be no school tomorrow (9/22) so teachers can attend an inservice day. Students will return to school on Monday (9/25)!
Our Meet the Teacher event starts tonight at 5! A presentation will begin in the gym at 5. Then families will complete a fun scavenger hunt, meet the teachers, and get some ice cream!

If you need assistance, you can stop by Addams Monday-Friday from 8:30-3:30 and someone will be there to help you! Also, don't forget about our Meet the Teacher Night on the 17th from 5-6!

Due to the power outage, the Administrative Office is closed. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the Business Office at 217-525-3040. We expect to resume normal operations Monday, July 3.
All summer school programs and SCOPE are canceled Friday, June 30, to allow maintenance staff to assess and clean up buildings and grounds.
We expect all programs to resume next week as normally scheduled.
All students and staff in summer programs are safe. Buses will run at the normal time, but routes may take longer due to traffic or blocked streets. Families are welcome to pick up students early. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

You are cordially invited to the Spring Music Concert/Dance performance on Friday, May 26th at 2:00pm at Jane Addams School. Please, mark your calendar and try to make this event. The students are very excited for this day! We’d love to have a full house with families!
Don't forget that our end of the year APTT meeting is tonight from 5-6! Come meet with teachers while the students have a dance party in the gym. Childcare will be available for younger siblings. A grab and go dinner will be provided for those in attendance.
